Profile

Ir Michael Fong is currently the Director of Civil Engineering and Development, leading over 2000 staff of the Civil Engineering and Development Department to deliver Hong Kong’s land supply and key infrastructure projects, e.g. the Northern Metropolis, which contributes to social and economic growth in Hong Kong. He is also in charge of the landslide risk management of Hong Kong, and has steered to attain a world-class slope safety system.

Ir Fong has held various influential positions across works departments and Development Bureau. He enjoys a high standing in engineering sector both locally and internationally.
