Ir Prof Yuen is a Chair Professor, Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering, City University of Hong Kong and a Registered Professional Engineer and members of the IFE (UK), SFPE (USA) and HKIE (HK). His research expertise includes fire safety and engineering, pyrolysis and combustion, applications of computational fluid dynamics, fire retardant materials, neural network modelling applications in fire engineering. He is currently the Council member and Chairman of Quality Assurance Committee (QAC) of the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ) and Member of Committee on Self-financing Post-secondary Education (CSPE) by Education Bureau, HKSAR Government.
