Profile

Ir Dr Lau has over 35 years of government engineering experience on a wide range of highway and bridge projects. He participated in the implementation of many large bridges including the Tsing Ma Bridge ( the world’s longest suspension bridge with 1,377m span and carrying both road and rail traffic) , Kap Shui Mun Bridge, Ting Kau Bridge etc. He was involved in the development and installation of an extensive bridge health monitoring system on the 3 bridge. Dr Lau is active in the affairs of Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and in the exchange with Mainland’s construction professionals.
