Profile

Professor Lu is a leader in studies of residual stresses. He developed the incremental hole method for residual stress measurement and a new fatigue failure criterion. His work on nano surface treatment is very much in the cutting edge. The research results were adopted in the automobile and aerospace industries including Renault and Air Bus.
