Prof. Huan-Feng Duan is a Professor of Hydraulics and Water Resources at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). He currently serves as Associate Director of the State Key Laboratory of Climate Resilience for Coastal Cities (SKL-CRCC) and Associate Director of the Otto Poon Research Institute for Climate-Resilient Infrastructure (RICRI) at PolyU. Prof. Duan has long been engaged in frontier research in climate resilience and water resources management. He is currently Editor-in-Chief of Engineering Applications of Computational Fluid Mechanics and an Associate Editor of ASCE flagship Journal of Hydraulic Engineering and IWA AQUA – Water Infrastructure, Ecosystems and Society. His honours include the IAHR Willi H. Hager Award (2021), the ASCE Karl Emil Hilgard Award (2022), and the Second Prize of the Dayu Water Conservancy Science and Technology Award from the Ministry of Water Resources of China (2024).
