I am Associate Professor of Civil Engineering in the Geotechnical Discipline at the University of Hong Kong and a professional engineer. I advance geotechnical engineering science by decoding the multi-physics, multi-phase boundary behaviours of catastrophic large-deformation mass movements. I pioneered unique methods of multiscale physical modelling and a landmark framework integrating multi-scale physical modelling with high-fidelity, two-point Material Point Method solvers, eliminating legacy computational boundaries to accurately capture real-time fluid-solid transitions.
