Dr. WENG Qingsong received his PhD from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, completed a research collaboration with Sonshan Lake Materials Laboratory, and industrialisation platform established by the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He worked as a visiting researcher at the University of Cambridge from 2023 to 2024, affiliated with the King’s College.
He is the founder of Light-weight Technologies Limited, an innovative enterprise focused on manufacturing lightweight metal components.
He also serves as Assistant Secretary-General of the Federation of Guangdong Academicians, responsible for technology transfer initiatives for academicians and industry experts.
